Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
It's that time of year again - the new versions of security packages are starting to appear.
Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2010 has hit the shops, promising added protection from the bad guys.
The traditional malware protection is still there, bolstered by vulnerability analysis, behaviour blocking, and an anti-keylogging virtual keyboard.
There's no indication of how that last feature protects against malware that does screen recording as well as keyboard logging to capture passwords and other data.
KIS 2010 includes a sandbox to test downloaded software or dodgy web links before they are let loose on the real system.
"With thousands of Internet-based computer threats being developed everyday, it's important that security software has the capability to test every piece of new software and URLs in a safe environment and before it potentially damages a computer," said Alexey Gromyko, head of Kaspersky in Australia and New Zealand.
Two-year KIS 2010 licences cost $A59.95 for one PC or $A109.95 for three PCs. The package can also be purchased online for $A49.95 and $A99.95, but that only gets you a one-year licence.
