Linux Australia to live stream SGM

Business IT - Open Source

Linux Australia is holding a special general body meeting tonight to vote on some pending issues - and for the first time the organisation will be live-streaming the meeting.

The SGM will vote on, among other things, changing the financial year for the organisation.

The live feed will be available at this URL from 6pm AEST.

According to Tim Ansell, the system supports HTML5 (Ogg theora, WebM and H264) and Flash and this should cover most browsers.

As a backup the JustinTV channel will also transmit the same stream.

Orion VM has provided the machine for the live encoding. Clips will be available later on at Linux Australia's YouTube channel.
