Google has released the source code to its '20 Things I Learned about Browsers and the Web' web-book.


Google's '20 Things I Learned about Browsers and the Web' received a warm reception last year, partly for its content but also because of the way it showed how HTML5 and other web technologies could be used to build an interactive experience.

The company has now released the source code for the book for other people to use under the GPL v2.

You'll need to provide your own content - getting the right words in the right order requires effort, as does creating suitable and attractive graphics - but the open-sourcing of the technical side opens a new publishing mechanism for writers and illustrators, even though some web-creation skills are still required.
