Sure, purists who say "GPL or nothing" will be disappointed. Oxite is released under the Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL), which basically says you can use the software, prepare derivatives, and distribute the original or your derivative.
Oh, and there's a patent grant providing protection for those taking part in the permitted activities.
