"Rollout of the National Broadband Network is forging ahead with construction commencing for approximately 165,800 homes and businesses around the country," Conroy said.
He said that NBN had released maps which "show that the NBN rollout is ramping up across Australia, with NBN Co on track to meet its target of having construction commenced or completed for 758,000 homes and businesses by the end of the year."
NBN Co released in February an interactive map showing the over 750,000 homes where work had commenced or was planned to commence in the next 12 months. The map enabled users to input their address or postcode and see what the NBN rollout schedule for that location.
