Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Telecom New Zealand has deployed Dorado Software's Redcell network configuration and security management system to run a new range of low-cost MPLS-based IP VPN services.
According to Dorado, "Redcell gives TNZ visibility and control over a distributed multi-vendor network from the core-to-the-edge and out to the customer located network equipment."
The new services, part of TNZ's 'One Office' product line are based on the Juniper Networks' E, M and T-series routing platforms and Cisco CPE. Services provided include IP LAN and VPN, remote and branch office VPN services and network access.
TNZ has deployed Redcell Inventory Manager and Redcell Change Manager. According to David McGrath, investment manager data networks Telecom New Zealand, "Redcell enables the deployment of multiple services over a single MPLS IP based network, saving us on deployment and maintenance costs, and allowing us to pass on these savings to our customers."
