Telstra launches first 'unlimited' business mobile plan

Business IT - Networking

Telstra Business has launched what it says its first unlimited mobile plan for business users.

For $180 per month users get unlimited standard voice calls, video calls, MMS and SMS to any Australian mobile or fixed number plus unlimited MessageBank diversion and retrieval.

The plan is an addition to Telstra's existing range of MobilePLUS plans designed for businesses with from one to a hundred users or more.

Yasmin Dugan executive director in Telstra Business said the plan had been developed in response to business customers' requests for simpler, more flexible plans as well as reduced call rates when they combine all their services on one account.

The plan is available on 12 or 24 month contracts and for those bringing their own handset reduces to $150 per month on a 24 month contract. To lure customers from other networks, Telstra is offering $540 in credit if they sign up for a 24 month contract.

Customers with Smartphones also have the choice of BlackBerry or Microsoft email or 2.5GB of data for web-based email and Internet browsing.

Unlimited variants of MobilePLUS offers free calls in Australia between services on the same account, one rate for both video and voice calls, per second charging, and the ability for users on the same account to share any unused included credit across their services.

Call charges and flagfall decrease progressively from 15c to 8.5c per 30 seconds (but charged by the second) and from 20 to 11c respectively as user numbers increase from one to 80 or more.
