Melbourne IT launches new brand

Web hoster and domain registrar, Melbourne IT Group (ASX:MLB) has launched a new brand, Melbourne IT Corporate Brand Services, a division which offers brand protection and performance services to major corporate brands on the Internet.

The launch marks the complete integration under one global brand of the operations of Cogent IPC, (acquired by Melbourne IT in April 2004), and Melbourne IT's existing Corporate Domain Management Division. Headed by Cogent IPC's CEO, Anders Eriksson, the new consolidated division will continue to offer internet brand protection and promotion services to clients worldwide.

'Consolidating our business under one global brand is an important milestone in our long-term strategy,' said Theo Hnarakis, CEO of Melbourne IT. 'We will continue to provide clients with our specialised services, while we invest in ways to develop and deliver innovative online brand management solutions in the areas of Corporate Domain Management, Online Brand Infringement, Web Traffic Services and Digital Certificates.'
