There is also something rather odd with the light on the soldier situated one position further to Kim’s right. Whereas everyone else has permitted sunlight to pass by and illuminate the white wall to their right, this one person does not, yet he seems to be exactly the same distance from the wall as everyone else. This is, of course in one of the images provided. In another, this doesn’t seem to be a problem! In fact these two images, although held up as being the same are clearly different, exposing the uniform vs. bear hat issue along with lighting variations.
So, what do we have? Firstly, wide-angle and close-ups from two quite different images that have been deliberately confused to make a variety of points. A few of which are valid.
Secondly, I’m generally happy with Farid’s explanation of the three primary issues, however, he doesn’t seem to have a solution to the big-hat head, which doesn’t rely on either over-inflation or mixed images.
Finally, I found just one site that seems to have uncovered the real truth enjoy!
