So, given the choice, which Web video would you rather watch? A swimsuit-clad Paris Hilton insisting she would make a great President of the USA or a totally naked Paris Hilton not putting the world to rights? Thankfully, the web audience seems to be flocking to the right Paris...
There is, it has to be said, absolutely no escaping from Paris Hilton.
Currently that would appear to be US Presidential hopeful Senator John
McCain's fault.
The Republican candidate for President ran an advert comparing his
Democratic rival to both Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Barack Obama,
it reasoned, is not Presidential material because he is just a
celebrity and nothing more.
Paris Hilton responded by
filming a video which starts off by calling
John McCain the "oldest celebrity in the world" and so old he remembers
when beer was served in a bucket. The video then cuts to Paris Hilton,
in revealing swimsuit, claiming not to be from the olden days or
promising change "like that other guy".
"I'm just hot" she insists.
Paris then goes on to thank the "white haired wrinkly dude" for his endorsement
of her as President and promises she is "totally ready to lead". Having
solved the energy crisis, Paris wraps up by promising to "see you at
the debates, bitches" before announcing she will paint the Whitehouse
pink if elected.
The spoof video was the idea of the Funny or Die website and it seems to have been money well spent.
In the couple of days since appearing the Paris Hilton video has been
viewed 5,779,000 times.
Thankfully the same number of people have not, as far as I am aware,
been tempted into watching the 'Paris Hilton Free Video' clip which is
being promised by a high profile spam campaign. Which is just as well,
because a naked Paris Hilton is not the only thing you would get.
Actually, you wouldn't even get the naked Paris Hilton. Instead, having
moved on from promises of a naked Angelina Jolie, the malware authors
behind the current spam would get you to download a Trojan posing as

Sophos warns that this
is just the latest in a long line of naked celebrity video malware.
In fact, it's not the first time that a
naked Paris Hilton has been used by the
malicious spammers. Last year an email promised a naked Paris Hilton
but featured a naked Jenna Jameson instead. if you clicked on Jemma you
got taken to an infected website.
Still, it could be worse, we could be talking about a Senator John McCain naked video. Now that's what I call malware...
