Business discovery and business intelligence provider QlikTech has opened its Australia and New Zealand regional office in Sydney.

QlikTech's QlikView business discovery platform combines data from various sources - including SAP, Salesforce.com, data warehouses, desktop formats such as Excel spreadsheets, SQL databases and others - allows associative searching, and then presents the results as charts, tables or graphs.

The company has previously been represented in Australia by resellers and partners, but has now opened a regional office for Australia and New Zealand in Sydney that will also deliver technical support to the wider Asia Pacific region.

Sales, marketing and service support will be delivered to A/NZ from the Sydney and Melbourne offices.

"The Business Intelligence market in this region presents a tremendous opportunity for us and our partners to show companies how they can use our platform to benefit their business," said Mark Sands, regional director, QlikTech Australia & New Zealand.

"QlikTech was founded on the belief that business intelligence software should be developed with business users in mind. Bridging the gap between traditional business intelligence solutions and standalone office productivity applications, our Business Discovery platform brings a whole new level of analysis, insight and value to existing data stores, creating user interfaces that are clean, simple and easier to understand for business managers," he added.
