The former head of Telstra Enterprise and Government, Nerida Caesar, has re-appeared as CEO of Veda Advantage, "the largest and most sophisticated provider of business intelligence in Australia and New Zealand."

Caesar, whose resignation was announced just before Christmas, will take up her new post in February, replacing Rory Matthews who will continue at Veda Advantage as the chief operating officer and managing director of Veda's International businesses.

Matthews will "continue to drive overall operations of the business in Australia and New Zealand, as well as all international expansion activities," the company said. "As chief operating officer Mr Matthews will also continue to build on the business and technology needs and expand both consulting and analytical capabilities in preparation for positive credit reporting."

Mathews said: "Together with Nerida's strengths and capabilities in sales and marketing and my own depth of knowledge and experience in the credit bureau and related services business, the move further strengthens Veda Advantage's ability to drive rapid growth. This growth will continue as the business develops in complexity and influence both locally and internationally and prepares itself and our customers for positive credit reporting in Australia and New Zealand."

Veda Advantage claims to "provide insights into more than 16.5 million credit active individuals and 4.4 million companies and businesses." It is owned by a private equity consortium comprising Pacific Equity Partners and Merrill Lynch Private Equity Partners.
