Citrix Online's new GoToManage service is aimed at IT management. It helps provide remote support and monitoring.

Citrix continues to diversify its GoTo... range of services that started with the GoToMyPC remote access product. The latest addition is GoToManage.

There are two modules to the product. GoToManage Remote Support and GotoManage Monitoring. The former delivers live end-user support and allows remote control; the latter allows administrators to inventory, monitor and manage PCs, and Macs, servers and networks with automatic discovery. Upgrades and maintenance operations can also be automated.

"From listening to our vast customer base of IT professionals, we learned that they dislike piecemeal products. Our new, integrated solution simplifies their life, makes them more productive and enables them to support customers and their networks more easily and comprehensively," said Elizabeth Cholawsky, Citrix Online's general manager and vice president of IT services.

"This is particularly true for SMBs, who don't typically have an IT professional in every location, but nevertheless require their IT systems to be up and running 24x7," she added.

GoToManage Remote Support costs $US89 per month per remote support technician. A free trial is available.

GoToManage Monitoring is free for up to two servers and 18 devices; fees start at $US89 per month for up to 10 servers and 90 devices. A 20% discount is offered for annual subscriptions.
